Yahoo had a major update last week. I got a few top rankings, the overall traffic of my sites increased 25%. As a webmaster, I’m very happy about it, but on the other hand, the search results look worse than before from a search user’s point of view.
I also have several new sites (all with unique content) banned by Yahoo, most probable because of so called cross linking. I tried re-inclusion requests but wasn’t lucky. I didn’t remove the links from my other sites, because the links are on-topic and bring targeted traffic, I don’t want to remove them just because of Yahoo. They should ignore the links if they don’t like them, it’s not right to simply ban the sites, IMO.
Now, my websites are either ranked very well on Yahoo, or banned.
